Skiing safely with the Super Green Pass

  • To access to all ski lifts (both open and with closed vehicles), from 12 years of age onwards, will be allowed only to vaccinated or Covid-19 recovered persons.
  • Additionally, on skibus services, cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts with canopy the FFP2 mask is mandatory from the age of 6 and the capacity will be reduced to 80%.

From 01/01/2022:

  • Duty of a third-party liability insurance.
  • It will be forbidden to ski in a state of drunkenness (the limits laid down in the Highway Code will be applied, i.e. 0.5 mg of alcohol per liter of blood) or under the influence of drugs.

Entry from EU countries and Schengen states (C list countries)

Entry requirements for persons who have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19

Persons from EU or Schengen countries (C list) who have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 must comply with the following rules:

  • Burden of proof: a certificate proving that the person has received a full course of Covid-19 vaccinations with a vaccine recognised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) issued no longer than 6 months ago or proof of having recovered from a Covid-19 infection within the past 6 months.
  • Testing requirement: proof of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours or a negative antigen test no older than 24 hours.
  • Registration requirement: all arrivals must complete the digital passenger locator form (dPLF) before entering Italy.

For unvaccinated people:

Persons from EU or Schengen countries (C list) who have not been vaccinated must comply with the following rules:

  • Testing requirement: proof of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours or a negative antigen test no older than 24 hours.
  • Registration requirement: all arrivals must complete the digital passenger locator form (dPLF) before entering Italy. The authorities are currently discussing whether unvaccinated arrivals ought to report to the medical service, too.
  • Mandatory self-isolation: quarantine for a period of five days.
  • Additional Covid-19 test: Another swab test (molecular or antigen test) after the five-day quarantine.

Entry requirements for minors:

The following rules apply to minors who are entering Italy from an EU or Schengen country and who have not been vaccinated nor recovered from Covid-19:

  • minors up to the age of 17 (i.e., those not yet 18 years old) who are travelling with a parent or legal guardian who is exempt from the quarantine requirement due to being vaccinated or having recovered from Covid-19 (proof required) are also exempt from the quarantine requirement.
  • children of 6 or older require proof of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours or a negative antigen test no older than 24 hours to enter Italy.
  • Children under 6 years of age are exempt from testing.
